Contract: Fixed term (1 year in the first instance), with the potential to progress based on need and performance
Hours: 29.5 hours, 39 weeks
Closing date: Sunday 31st May 2026

We are a large, two-form entry primary school serving a diverse community, with a clear and consistent approach to teaching and learning. Our focus is on securing strong foundations, particularly in reading, writing and mathematics, alongside building a curriculum that is carefully sequenced and well understood by staff.
We are looking to appoint a capable and reliable Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage 1. This role requires someone who can support learning with precision, particularly in phonics and early reading, and who understands the importance of consistent classroom routines.
The role will involve:
- Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1
- Delivering targeted interventions in phonics, early reading and mathematics
- Supporting pupils to apply taught knowledge independently
- Contributing to assessment and feedback
- Maintaining a calm and purposeful classroom environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification
- Has experience working within Key Stage 1
- Has a secure understanding of phonics and early reading
- Can follow structured approaches to teaching and intervention
- Is organised, reliable and able to build strong relationships with pupils
Additional requirements:
This role includes supporting pupils with medical needs. The successful candidate will be required to:
- Undertake training (for example, diabetic care)
- Be willing to administer medication following appropriate training and school procedures
